Every trench follows a structured, safety-first process.

Site Assessment

Survey trench alignment, confirm DBYD plans, and identify any existing services or obstacles along the proposed route.

Safety Setup

Complete SWMS, site induction, and establish exclusion zones. All crew hold current certifications.

Precision Cutting

High-pressure water cuts a narrow trench (typically 150–300mm wide) along the marked alignment. Vacuum extracts spoil in real time.

Depth & Grade Verification

Trench depth and grade are checked against specification at regular intervals. Adjustments made on the spot.

Cable / Pipe Lay

Once the trench is verified, cable or pipe is laid by the client or coordinating contractor. ASB stands by if further excavation is needed.

06

Backfill & Compact

Trench is backfilled with approved material and compacted to specification. Surface reinstated to site requirements.
